Meet OMEC's Board of Directors

Rudy Brouillette

Board of Directors President

A longtime resident of the Town of Augusta, Rudy has served Oneida-Madison Electric Cooperative for 34 years while also working as a farmer and a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Rudy and his wife, Karen, raised a family of six—three sons and three daughters—and are now proud grandparents five grandchildren. Now retired from the post office, he enjoys farming, cutting wood, and raising and showing exhibition poultry. He is also an active member of Madison United Methodist Church.

 

Dan Saulsgiver

Board of Directors Secretary/Treasurer

A resident of the Town of Lebanon, Dan has dedicated over 40 years of service to Oneida-Madison Electric Cooperative, making him the longest-serving director in OMEC history. He brings a deep commitment to education, having studied at Jamestown Community College, SUNY Cortland, Colgate University, Cornell University, Ithaca College, and the University of Rochester, and spent four decades teaching biology at Madison Central School. Dan has been married for more than five decades to his prom date and wife, Carol. In addition to his local service, Dan represents New York State on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Board of Directors and is a member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton.

John Lehr

Vice President

A resident of the Town of Smithfield, John has served Oneida-Madison Electric Cooperative for almost 20 years and has held the role of Vice President since 2023. He attended Cornell University and works as a Farm Business Consultant with Farm Credit East. John and his wife, Lynda, have two children and one grandchild. In his free time, John enjoys hunting large game all over the United States.

James Nassimos

Director

A resident of the Town of Madison, Jim has served Oneida-Madison Electric Cooperative for over 30 years. He attended Morrisville State College and the Rochester Institute of Technology and before his recent retirement, worked as a design engineer for GE Aerospace/Lockheed Martin. In addition to his primary career, he has also worked as a New York State–licensed home inspector and electrician. He and his wife, Colleen, have two children, a daughter, Rachel, and a son, Daniel. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, tinkering, woodworking, and helping others

Kurt Peavey

Director

As a resident of the Town of Eaton, Kurt has served Oneida-Madison Electric Cooperative for 19 years. He attended Delaware Valley College and SUNY Oswego and works as the Technology Coordinator at Madison Central School. He is also the head wrestling coach at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill. In his spare time, Kurt enjoys spending time with his wife, Colleen, and their two children, Kyle and Maria.

Seth Howard

Director

A resident of the Town of Fenner, Seth has served Oneida-Madison Electric Cooperative for five years. He attended SUNY Broome and SUNY Cortland and works as a physical education and health teacher at Madison Central School. Seth is actively involved in coaching baseball and hockey at both the Little League and varsity levels. He and his wife, Heather, have a son, Blake.

Scott Bugbee

Director

A resident of the Town of Brookfield, 2025 marks Scott’s first year serving as a director with Oneida-Madison Electric Cooperative. He works as a technology teacher at Sherburne-Earlville and has been an active member of the North Brookfield Fire Department for the past 25 years. Scott also proudly served eight years in the Army Reserves, including a deployment to Iraq in 2004. He and his wife, Amanda, have two children, Thatcher and Gwen.
